Senior
Master Stacy Busby began his Tang Soo Do training in January of
1985 under Cliff Ott in Bogalusa, Louisiana. He
earned his Cho Dan Black Belt in 1988 as a member of
the World Tang Soo Do Association with Kwan Jang Nim
Jae Chul Shin. In 1993, he took ownership of the
studio that he began his training in and still
teaches traditional Tang Soo Do out
of this academy. The name of the school is Busby's
Family Karate Center (aka Bayou Tang Soo Do).
Master
Busby is currently a 5th Dan and a charter member of the
Atlantic Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation under Kwan
Jang Nim John St. James. He is also an original
Board of Directors member and serves as the
Chair of the Membership Committee.
In
2007, he was honored to be
invited to serve as a member of the Federation's
first
International Delegation team to Australia, with the
task of teaching Ho Sin Sul or self defense.
The
tour included training in Fiji, Australia, New
Zealand, and Tahiti. One of his many highlights was
being asked to teach an instructor's and black belt
clinic to membership of the Asia Pacific Tang Soo Do
Federation while in Darwin, the Northern Territory
of Australia. The Asia Pacific Tang Soo Do
Federation, under the guidance and leadership of
Kwan Jang Nim Stephen Washington, is headquartered
in Noarlunga, South Australia and is the sister
organization of the APTSDF.
Master
Busby enjoys teaching all aspects of traditional
Tang Soo Do with an emphasis on Hyung and Ho Sin Sul
and enjoys sharing the history, tradition,
culture and philosophy of traditional Tang Soo Do.
