18th Hak Won Tang Su Do Summer Camp 2011
by Master Carlo Borghi,
5th Dan - ITA Vice President
Re-printed with permission
For
the first time in the long history of our Academy's
traditional summer meetings, this year were held two
separate courses: an exclusive Dan / Instructors
Camp (with greater emphasis on internal work, Nei
Kong) and another, shorter one aimed at Kup
students.
Just like the past three editions, the 18th Hak Won
Summer Camp was held in Borbona (province of Rieti,
in the green mountains of Central Italy), with its
beautiful landscapes and the clean, unpolluted
environment.

The
stage for Dan was a real "full immersion" Tang Su Do
camp. Lasting over 5 days (July 6th to 10th), it
demanded maximum and continuous concentration:
always under the direction of Chong Nye Nim Villalba,
starting since the early morning with
Ki Kong exercises, until late at night around the
campfire with more advanced exercises of
concentration. During the day, basic and advanced
Wei Kong training for Instructors and Masters, and
more Nei Kong to reinforce the inner strength.
A somewhat lighter camp was reserved for Kup
students, lasting three days (July 15th to 17th).
Still, both Nei and Wei aspects of our Tang Su Do
were continuously trained, still under the direction
of our Chong Nye.
