The Karate Center of Lake Worth Florida conducted its 5th annual “Kick-A-Thon”, a fund raiser for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. As challenging as it was, the students and families were able to raise over $5,000.00 this year. In addition to the Kick-A-Thon itself, our students raised donations in some very creative ways, such as: face-painting at our family picnic, making sommores at our Karate Camp camp fire and holding a 50/50 raffle.
Over the past five years the Karate Center’s students have donated over $30,000 to the Children’s Hospital. Part of our training in Tang Soo Do is community involvement, charity and teamwork. Our students are very proud of their accomplishment and are ready for next year's challenge.
