"Parsifal" Trophy - 2011
edition
Re-printed with permission by Hak Won Tang Su Do -
Rome, Italy
Rome, 15/5/2011
"TANG SU!"….
An noisy ovation raised from the big tent of the
Palarotelle at Cinecittà Est in Rome, when Chong Nye
Nim Villalba exchanged a hug with the Judo Master
Silvano Addamiani. The speech expressed just before
by the Guest, who came on expressly to watch the
event, excited all the participants:
"My thanks to the students of Hak Won, who, being
the living expression of Chong Nye Nim Villalba's
Tang Su Do, show the growth of the Academy by
promoting the Spirit of the Martial Art, in an
atmosphere marked by serenity and deep respect."
These words described the essence of the annual
"Parsifal" event, which, in the edition 2011,
brought together four Italian regions (Lombardia,
Emilia Romagna, Umbria and Lazio). For all
practitioners, guests and spectators, the Sunday
appointment of mid-May, consisted of three parts:
- a tournament of Forms (Hyong) dedicated to all "kup"
and divided into categories: newcomers (white and
blue belts), beginners (yellow and orange belts),
intermediates (green belts) and advanced (red belt);
- the second part just for advanced Hyong, exclusive
for 1st and 2nd Dan;
- a tournament of fighting (Ciayu Teryon) for
students of green and red belts, which took place in
parallel with a lesson of self-defense (Ho Sin Sul)
dedicated to the less experienced students.

The
event, organized in collaboration with the CSEN
(Centro Sportivo Educativo Nazionale), culminated
with the awarding of the winners in the various
tests, the provision of plates to the guests and the
awards of "Parsifal" trophy for the most deserving
Kwan Won of each Dojang. "Parsifal" are those who,
during the academic year, have shown to possess the
same qualities that have enabled the young knight of
the Arthurian Cycle to achieve the "Holy Grail".
Examples are the Sumbè Danilo Lazzarini (assistant
Instructor, 1st Dan), Kyosà Nim Franco Di Giammarco
and Kyosà Nim Lucio Agostini (Instructors 3rd Dan).
The
day-long event, celebrating the International
Academy of Tang Su Do, proved to be a moment of
growth for the school, thanks to the endeavor of all
participants.
With the hope that everyone can get closer to his
personal "Holy Grail", let's give you appointment
for the next year.
Tang Su!
Kyosà Simone Mecozzi, 2nd Dan - Instructor in
Grottaferrata (Rome)

Under
the auspices of the National CSEN it took place the
2011 edition of the annual event of Hak Won Tang Su
Do.
Many fans of the Korean Traditional Karate have
flowed from Lazio, Umbria, Emilia Romagna and
Lombardia, just for sharing the Spirit of the DO and
bringing together the collective soul, growing it,
accordingly with the aim of mutual friendship.
Friendship is cultivated through the practice of
Art, which is training of the body and mind: culture
into socialization.
The tournament of Hyong (kata), divided by
categories of belts, was mandatory for all members
of the Academy, so that the competitors of Ciayu
Teryon (light contact fighting with non-stop
regulation) have had to first grapple in Hyong.
Hyong - contest results:
-
Beginners - 2nd place: G. Manzo, 1st place: S. De
Chirico
- Yellow\Orange belts - 2nd place: Vito Lentini, 1st
place: Sergio Botan
- Green belts - 2nd place: Andrea Rotondi, 1st
place: Alessio Perrone
- Red belts - 2nd place: Vitantonio Perrone, 1st

came out among all these young aspirants to become
"Knights" of Hak Won, were awarded with beautiful
